There’s two reasons for the blog title; firstly I’ve hit 100 blog posts!!! (Which can only be further proof that I have no life!?) Yes, 100 posts and I’m not entirely sure what I’ve been blogging about so constantly but it appears some people are interested.

Since April there’s been 273 comments left on the blog; alot of them have been encouragement or feedback on my work and there’s even been some very heated debates. Either way, according to my stats people continue to read my reviews, rants, brainfarts and notions, and so I thank you.The second reason; As I’ve mentioned before my dissertation title is;

“An investigation into the use of Myspace.com as a P.R tool for independent musicians in the Irish music industry”

I’m currently in the middle of my secondary research for my literature review, but as part of my primary research I need to compile a list of 100 independent bands and musicians in Ireland. The 100 bands on the list will be sent a basicfinal4.jpg questionnaire and it won’t take up much of your time. The information provided would be valuable for my research to see the efficiency of bands using myspace and in return I’ll be providing tons of P.R advice through this blog!

So if you’re an independent Irish musician or band (apologies to the international readers, who are you by the way?) using myspace to promote your band and would be interested in really helping me out by filling itchy-trigger-finger.jpgout a simple survey then just leave a comment on the blog or send me a message on myspace, and please include your myspace url in the comment.

I already have several bands and musicians on the list but need more. Not all bands will meet the necessary requirements to fill out the survey, but it’s not a personal taste thing or even a music thing! The list needs to contain specific categories etc. kkm-hijack-the-airwaves.jpg

And finally in a completely unrelated matter, I’ll be doing an interview on the Kulture Klub show on KCLR 96.6fm tomorrow night (Tuesday). The show is on from 7-8pm and although I’m not yet entirely sure about the purpose of the interview, no doubt it will be a mix of my work, KilkennyMusic, Devious Theatre and Microfilms. Check it out.
