Things have been fairly quiet around KKM over the Christmas and New years festivities, but now it’s all over and it’s time to try get back into the swing of things. So the next few blog posts will be a catch up on all of the photo-shoots, sessions and adventures over the last week or so.
First up, myself and Daw took a road-trip just after Christmas, a visit to the Chief’s secret getaway on Lough Talt, Co. Sligo.
Quite possibly one of the coolest places I’ve ever been to, and I can see the reasons behind his regularly trips away. Long story short; we spent several days relaxing, eating too much, drinking too much, kayaking on the lake, a bit of target practice, walking the hills, talking to friendly locals and we tried a couple of experimental photo-shoots on the ridiculous scenery.
The scenery and weather was great so we had to try out some new techniques and styles. I’m not used to being out in nature with my camera. I’ve just uploaded all my shots of the Sligo Experience to my bebo profile and my
favourites to my website. Various shots of our adventures and some attempts at silihouettes and slow-shutter water shots. I’d really appreciate feedback on these shots so make sure and have a look.
Leaving the house in Sligo wasn’t easy, (actually, neither was finding it!?) and I have to take this opportunity to thank the McGuire clan for their hospitality. Hopefully we’ll get to pay them a visit again.
So there’s a short blog to get me back into the swing of things, plenty more to come in the next few days, photo-shoots with bands, photo-shoots with fire, body-art portrait-shoots and plenty more. For now check out my pics of the Sligo Experience.
