Brand new to KilkennyMusicTV comes Itchy Trigger Finger’s music video debut; ‘What have we done now‘. The 6-minute video features never before seen footage of the local progressive metal outfit, performing at the launch of ‘The Wrong Side of Misery‘ E.P back in July, with a backdrop of somewhat clichéd imagery displaying the apocalyptic and destructive nature of mankind.the-wrong-side-of-misery.gif

But don’t get me wrong, the video which was shot, edited and produced by local filmmaker Alan Slattery, does it very well, unlike many others! And you’ve got to have an obligatory political video to go with you obligatory political song, right!?

Unfortunately I think the quality of the YouTube version of this video doesn’t do it justice. The live footage is pretty dark, when Sla originally did a great job shooting with the poor lighting in the Zoo Club for the launch. But I’ve been assured vult23.jpgthat a DivX version will be released shortly on AlanSla.com and on Itchy Trigger Finger’s new website, which was launched last week.

ITF aren’t the first independent Kilkenny band to release a video, with Slave Zero and Saving J releasing videos earlier this year. It’s great to see that some Kilkenny bands are taking it up a notch in professionalism and working with local filmmakers to provide quality videos for their fans. Hopefully it’s the beginning of the end for poor quality local music videos shot on phones and bad cameras!

Myself, Daw and Sla are currently in various stages of pre-production to shoot several music videos with local bands andvult-promo-2.jpg some short films in early 2008. We’ve also just watched a near finished screening of ‘Vultures Episode 1: The Kris Kringle Konundrum‘ which will air online Christmas Eve. The show is looking great, it’s hilarious and I can’t wait to hear what people think of it. You’ll be able to watch it for free on the newly launched www.vulturespi.com but for now check out Itchy Trigger Finger’s ‘What Have We Done Now‘.
