It’s over two weeks since I’ve had time to blog, but college exams, assignments, projects and 12 hour days in the library are over. At least for now! Over the next few days I’ll be catching up on a backlog of work and as of today I began workingvult18.jpg with Kilkenny’s newest production company.

Above is the teaser trailer for Vultures, a web-based sitcom following a hapless trio of private detectives as they run a humdrum business in a small Irish town. It’s the first production under the banner of Microfilms; “a filmmaking collective in Kilkenny operating with the intention to create new short films, music videos, animation, features (fingers crossed). We want to utilise the talents of many of our local filmmaking vult-promo-4.jpgbrethren and create top quality entertainment produce geared towards internet distribution.

This first offering comes from the creative genius minds of John Morton, Paddy Dunne and Alan Slattery. If you like shows like Black Books and Father Ted then this comedy show is for you! Vultures episode 1: The Kris Kringle Konumdrum should premier online in the next few weeks.vult6.jpg

Shooting began earlier this week with a cast and crew of familiar faces from Kilkenny’s film/theatre scene. Today saw the final interior scenes being shot, as of Monday we’ll be hitting the streets. I’ll be vult5.jpgworking as 1st A.D on the set and I play the part of Jack Street, a street punk informant who would kick Huggy Bear’s ass! I’m not going to give away any of the plot, you’ll just have to wait and check it out for yourself.

For now you can watch the teaser trailer above, and for those of you on Myspace; swing by the Microfilms myspace profile, where you can check out conceptual artwork, promo shots and behind the scenes shots.
