Homegrown heroes Itchy Trigger Finger launch their long awaited E.P ‘The Wrong Side of Misery’ in the Zoo Club tonight, followed by an all ages gig tomorrow. This will be the first time you can buy a copy of the 5-track E.P which hasitf-promo-shot.jpg taken over a year to produce, but let me tell you it’s been well worth the wait. Aswell as getting your hands on a great E.P you’ll also get your hands on some of my best work to date.

The above shot, also titled ‘The Wrong Side of Misery’ is the center-piece to the E.P. Upon first look it may just look like a shot of ITF at practice, but if you look closely you’ll realise it’s actually a 180 degree roomspan shot made up by over 30 different photographs. I’m really proud of this piece having had the idea for a while, this one took 4 days to produce and get right having made several attempts at it. Using a tripod I took individual shots of ITF practicing as I slowly turned the camera 180 degrees, then I took shots of the room without them standing there to fill in the gaps and to try and get the angles right.

her-midnight-garden.jpgThe front and back cover of the E.P also feature one of my older shots, Her Midnight Garden. The shot was reworked by the Chief, who created all the artwork.

Inside the case, just under the cd, you’ll find a collage of ITF shots spanning over a years work with the band. Shots from gigs, band practice, the studio and on the road with the lads. Unfortunately the collage came out slightly darker than I had hoped when printed so you can get a look at the original right here.

I’ll be doing a post over the next few days on the actual music and gig, but for anybody who can make it down to the Zoo club tonight or tomorrow afternoon, I would highly recommend catching the guys in action and grabbing a copy of the ‘Wrong Side of Misery’.Their new website will also be up and running in the next few days and will feature some of my live videos and over 150 photos in the galleries.
