Three more…

This weekend saw my first gig shoot with the new camera and I’m more than happy with how it went. Still getting used to the slight changes and have a whole lot more to learn but the 18-135 lens really makes all the difference and the picture quality is amazing.

So, there’s three brand new albums on show in the KilkennyMusic galleries after Saturday nights gig. First up is Kilkenny’s own alternative rockers Mantra, with the lead singer sporting a SuperQuinn uniform on stage, maybe he’s not quiting his day job just yet but I’m sure we’ll be hearing more of them around the Kilkenny music scene.

Second on the night were our second Limerick band in two weeks, blues punk rockers the Fox Jaw Bounty Hunters. The lads are set to return to Kilkenny next October and would be worth checking out if you’re into bands like the Queens of the Stone Age. You can check out pics of the four-piece in action in their new gallery, and cheers to the guys for a copy of their self-titled E.P.

Last but by no means least, the return of Mullingar progressive soft rockers Innate. The lads first appeared with us back in January at the first OneTake Sessions of 2007 and another great set this Saturday leaves me hoping they’ll be back with us soon again. Hopefully next time with the crowd they deserve.

The three new albums means the bands section of the galleries is now spread across two pages. I’ve noticed this is kind of hard to spot, so Ken if you’re reading this then get that superhuman brain of yours in gear and make life easier for people who just wanna look at pics.

Finally, I’ve managed to come across a copy of this months Brutallica metal magazine with a feature on SlaveZero and I can happily say they did use one of my pictures, so it’s officially my first music magazine publication.

Hopefully I’ll be looking at a few more over the summer with the birthday of my website coming up next month, a tour with ITF and shitloads more gigs booked.
