For those of us who cannot yet afford to go out and buy a new 32gb iPod Touch, here’s one to get you by if you’re a video iPod owner. I’ve written a tutorial on how to hack your video iPod to make it look like an iPod touch.
There’s step by step instructions, borrowing from the DrivenDesign team who released the firmware upgrade. I’ve also uploaded a dozen or so images to flickr to give you an idea of what it looks like (as in the photo above).

23|Feb|2008 1I’ve done everything you described in your blog but when using ipod wizard to download the firmware it won’t download, nothing happens. I have the firmware saved on my desktop and I am able to retreive it but it won’t download it

24|Feb|2008 2You mean that it doesn’t write to your iPod?
Hvae you unzipped the firmware file you downloaded? You’ll find the TouchHack2.0.bin file in the zip, that’s the file you’ll need to open with iPod Wizard and write to your iPod.
